Judy De Angelis was born and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Growing up, she showcased innate artistic talents, excelling in both drawing and playing the viola. She followed her passion and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialization in Glassblowing from Jacksonville University in 2006, where her exceptional accomplishments were recognized with the esteemed Dean’s Award.
Over the course of her career, Judy has ventured into diverse fields, working as a veterinary technician, musician, and artist. In 2015, she made a significant decision to return to Cleveland, devoting herself to further education in materials science engineering at Case Western Reserve University and The Ohio State University. By integrating her science education with her artistic pursuits, Judy brings a unique perspective to her work.
Following the challenges posed by the pandemic, Judy resumed her professional pursuits as a full-time musician and artist. Her creative endeavors delve deep into the intricate connections between humanity, nature, and technology. Through her adept use of vibrant colors and intriguing illustrations, she masterfully captures the essence of unseen phenomena, including the mesmerizing power of sound.
